The Weakerthans make me want to cry the second I put them on, yet I feel it’s the only music that will get me through this morning.

I have the best homework in the world and I’m still avoiding doing it.
But laying in bed listening to Fleetwood Mac and thinking about cleaning and then doing homework is just so much easier.
(My homework is to practice making red wine soaked pears and lemon crepes fyi)
I’m trying to decide on the most visually appealing recipe I can find/know of. I’m entering a cooking competition through my school and If I win I get an apprenticeship with Adam D’Sylva at CODA which would probably be the sickest place I could ever dream of working first up. Super nervous and I haven’t even entered yet, but have about 2 days to, eek!

Rough weekend and I’ll be happy to get back to school tomorrow where I don’t know anyone and will spend the day dreaming of traveling again.

This weekend was killer but exhausting. First time back behind the wheel (for longer than 5 minute sneaky supermarket trips) in over a year, getting pulled out in a rip in Cape Woolamai and needing Lifesavers (mad babes) to get me out, and a whole lot more sun and less sleep than I usually get.
Tomorrow I start back at school for the first time in 6 years and the first time in a very long time...
